This seminar will focus on providing an introduction to legal, ethical, and practical strategies to optimize the workplace. A model for promoting healthy workplace practices with a review of supporting outcome data will be provided. The interface of psychology and human resource management will be addressed with an emphasis on the utilization of psychological evaluations as a tool for assisting in employment decision making such as post-offer psychological evaluations and occupationally mandated psychological evaluations/fitness for duty evaluations.
At the conclusion of this 1 hour seminar two companies will be awarded the Psychologically Healthy Workplace Awards followed by a reception in their honor. This year’s winners are:

The Arkansas Psychological Association‘s Psychologically Healthy Workplace Committee was created to recognize successful organizations that understand the link between employee health and well-being and organizational performance. Since 1999, Psychologically Healthy Workplace Awards have been presented to organizations by state, provincial and territorial psychological associations with support from the American Psychological Association. The award program highlights a variety of workplaces, large and small, profit and non-profit, in diverse geographical settings.
